Product Information
Double brushed and dark oiled engineered oak flooring provides an appearance of pure luxury that will impress any visitor. This floor has deep cocoa and mocha tones and is brushed twice during production to give an enhanced grain that beautifully emphasises the natural features contained within the oak.
An engineered oak floor that is popular in bars, restaurants, barn conversions and of course homes, double brushed and dark oiled flooring is easy to maintain because over time the character and appearance of the floor wears in and improves, much like a leather jacket that gets better the more worn it becomes.
Double brushed and dark oiled engineered oak flooring is popular in conversions and restorations due to its appearance when installed in rooms with other wood features, perfectly complimenting the existing surroundings. This floor is often installed in restaurants and bars where the floor will be subjected to high traffic because the finish of the double brushed and dark oiled doesn't show up marks and scratches like a smooth finish can.
Landlords with rental properties also choose to have double brushed and dark oiled engineered oak flooring installed in their properties due to easy maintenance and the luxury, depth and warm appearance of the oak.
This floor has a beautiful depth of texture, which is created by double brushing the face of the oak plank during manufacture and then applying several coats of a dark wax oil to enhance the grain features. Through double brushing the oak during production and finishing the board with a dark coloured wax oil, an antique appearance that is truly beautiful is created.
Double brushed and dark oiled engineered boards are 21mm thick, made up of 15mm of Eucalyptus plywood underside that is bonded to a full 189mm single strip width of 6mm French oak wear layer. This full face coverage of oak looks beautiful within the finished floor and emphasises the extra width that is available when ordering from our engineering oak flooring range.
This flooring is suitable for installation over under floor heating when correct acclimatisation, installation and maintenance guidelines are followed, and with its dark luxurious tones, is great for creating a truly warm and welcoming feel to a room.

SUSTAINABLY SOURCED, PREMIUM FRENCH OAK
All of our floors are made from premium French Oak on top of an engineered Eucalyptus core, for a floor that will stand the test of time. All raw materials in the production of our floors are derived exclusively from sustainable forestry areas.
