Product Information
Solid Oak Flooring 18 x 125 Lacquered

Lacquered solid oak flooring is a very popular choice of flooring for homes of any age because it is highly versatile and will suit any room and décor, blending well with the surroundings and adding a warm glow to the room. It is because of this versatility that the lacquered solid oak flooring is always in high demand.

These boards are machined from one piece of solid European oak and finish at 18mm thick and 150mm wide. Accurate dimensional tolerances allow and help for fast and simple fitting, saving on installation time and money.

The wood is sanded smooth and a primer coat is then applied, followed by six fine spray coats of lacquer, including an anti-scratch finish.  This finish is relatively hard and smooth, with a shiny satin finish, which is very easy to keep clean and makes the lacquered finish a great choice for people who suffer from allergies.

Lacquered solid oak flooring is particularly popular for installation in rooms with a lower level of natural light as the shiny satin finish reflects light exceptionally well and creates a warm, welcoming feel to any room.

Features within the oak of the lacquered boards such as knots are subtly accentuated in slightly darker colours to the rest of the wood, which is a mixed grade, meaning that natural features of the wood are still visible and the appearance is not a “clear” look that lacks any character.

The flooring is sealed on the underside for improved moisture protection, which reduces the risk of “cupping” after installation and has angled T&G joints for excess adhesive, reducing the risk of adhesive reaching the surface of the oak.

A truly versatile flooring that has a variety of looks depending on the level of light and décor in the room, lacquered solid oak flooring is popular for older properties as well as new builds and is a floor that is of particular benefit in rooms with low natural light. Lacquered solid oak flooring will look great in any room, blending well with the other features of the room and giving a warm glow from reflecting the light off the satin shiny finish.
